For a business with less than 10 employees, these things are an absolute waste of money. Have you ever heard of a diary? That's right - it's the thing with the white pages and glossy cover! When it comes to keeping track of appointments, reminders, personal events, and other important dates / times - keeping a diary on hand is much more functional than having an electronic alternative. Why? Because you can carry it everywhere you go, add things as and when you please, and keep your own structure and format going. Why fiddle around with unnecessary "options", when you could just pick up a pen and write something down? o Filing Systems, Organizational Management: The same principal above applies to filing systems as above. You can stop scanning each and every piece of paper that crosses your desk, and instead just physically file it away. Why make such a simple task into a prolonged and expensive electronic drama? Vital Electronic Equipment: Having said that some things are done better in a manual fashion than with an automated alternative, the opposite does indeed apply just as equally in some cases. o Communications Systems: Obviously, as technology and communications devices have evolved, new and revolutionary products are available to make the process of interaction much more efficient. In the realm of network marketing especially, a clear focus should go to ensuring the most efficient products are acquired. These things include: - a mobile phone, preferably with internet capability - a fixed line phone, with a high speed internet connection - a separate private & business email address At the bare minimum, you should expect to have to perform some type of communications system upgrade about once every two years, as the speed of new developments continues to increase exponentially. o Network Marketing Tools: Because our focus here is on network marketing, there will be electronic tools which are of vital importance to your line of business. Often, these tools are to be found on the website where you signed up for the business opportunity. Whilst it is important to utilize these tools for their specific purpose, it is also necessary to realize that too many tools will simply result in confusion, havoc, and inefficiency. Remember the saying "too many cooks spoil the broth"? Well, that definitely applies to the number of electronic tools and utilities you put in to action. My advice - choose a few useful tools and stick with them. If you find that there is a particular program which you haven't used in a number of weeks, consider the impact of removing it and integrating its purpose in to a tool you already use regularly. This could end up saving you time - our most valuable resource of all.
