For PC Repair London Has It Covered

By: Dominic Donaldson

There is nothing worse when you have something really important to work on that includes using your PC and then you find it isn't working. This is especially frustrating when you know very little about computers. I had a problem recently when I needed PC repair in London pretty quickly so that I could finish some work that I had due. I looked at the blank screen of my PC and felt like crying as I literally couldn't work out why it wasn't working. Now I am fairly good with computers but I knew this time instead of making it worse I'd have to find some professional PC repair in London.

Here we shall look at some basic tips and trouble shooting techniques for if your PC hardware isn't working. However I would advise that if your PC is not working that you should contact a professional to avoid any further damage to your computer.

1) Trial and error is the best way to find out which component of your PC isn't working. If you swap compatible components you can establish and isolate which part of your PC needs repairing.
2) Check your cables! More than 70% of computer problems are related to cables and their connections. Ensure that all of your cables are connected firmly. IDE, floppy ribbon cables and power cables can sometimes become loose.
3) Take notes of things you have done and error messages. These can be useful for later to determine the problem. If you get a blue screen with a message appear, copy the message down so that you can show PC repair specialists exactly what it says. It many situations that message can be the key to solving your problem.
4) You can take a look inside of your computer, it is only 5V and 12V DC voltage supplied to the components outside the power supply. Of course still always power down and unplug the power cord first before inspecting your computer. Also only look if you may be able to detect a problem!

So if you have checked all of these things and still can't get your PC to work then it may well be time to call a specialist. I had my PC repair in London get to me very quickly on an emergency call out so I was able to access all the work on my system. What a relief! It turned out to be a very minor problem but one that I would never have known, so don't be afraid to ask for help.
