There is not a man alive who does not enjoy the sound, the smell, and the feel of leather, which is because there is something about leather that will give you the feeling that no other material can. Any day of the week, you can see motorcycle riders who are wearing leather, but it is basically for their protection. Since the beginning of time, man has worn some type of leather for his protection. The skin of animals was considered to be leather for early man, which was used for clothing, shelter, tarps, and sleds. The tougher the animal, the tougher the leather and the greater the protection against the weather, your enemy's weapons, and underbrush. This may be the reason why leather affects people so deeply. Leather has the hidden ability to ignite the primal passions in men and women. It seems as if the memory of leather has been ingrained deeply into our memory through our ancestors. This could be the reason why our primal urges are affected so deeply by leather as being incredibly sexy. Since the dawn of time, women, too, have been attracted to leather. During the 1600's, the French were the very first to invent lingerie. However, we can say that much before this, the first creator of lingerie was the first cave girl who had her leather clothing ripped off of her by the dominating male, but, of course, she would not have had a clue that she had invented lingerie. When a man sees a woman dressed in leather linger, he often thinks of dominatrices or some sort of bondage that includes rough sex, which includes cracking the whip, being tied up, being bitten and beaten into submission. In the mainstream of things, many view the image of leather lingerie as being prominent and having true sex appeal. Many women and men view leather lingerie as being sensual, sexual, and elegant. Leather is like sex in that it plays on all the senses whenever we smell, hear, or feel leather. Many people can recognize the beautiful smell of leather, even if they do not see it, because of its unique and distinct smell. This is especially true for leather of better quality. Our senses have the power to bring forth the image of leather to our minds from our past experiences. When many people think of men in leather, then they instantly think of the bad boy image of a fighter or a rebel. I wonder if that is why hard core rockers tend to wear leather so they can have the bad boy look. The attraction to leather goes much deeper than we may ever be able to discover, especially since leather attracts so many individuals, whether they are male or female. Is this because leather shows that they are the dominating ones? Throughout time, many powerful men have hired women to dress up in leather for them and then to become the dominating one in their relationship. Is that truly the image that leather lingerie gives us when ever we see it?
