If you're a home based business owner, or someone thinking about getting started in a home business you might be a little overwhelmed. There's a lot of information and so called "experts" ready help you part with your money. You're probably aware that there are a ton of articles, videos and ebooks on self improvement. I'm a big believer in self improvement, I believe we should be working hard every day to make sure we're constantly getting better and better as a person and as a business man or woman. However, I also find it extremely important that we don't forget about who we are and what makes us unique. A lot of people feel that in order for you to be successful you have to model yourself after this person or that person. The truth is, instead of trying to be just like someone else we should simply be trying to be the best version of ourselves. What do I mean exactly? Everyone is unique and because of that everyone should have their own business style and approach to making money from home. That doesn't mean you shouldn't follow a success system or that you should try to re-invent the wheel. It just means that everything you do for your home based business in one way or another should have your own special stamp on it. Take for instance the idea of video marketing. I love websites like YouTube and Revver for promoting my home based business. However, and I don't mean to be mean when I say this... Some people create terribly boring videos! If you're a funny or interesting person in real life why wouldn't you show us that side of your personality in your marketing videos? Just because your upline or someone else is successful with a boring run of the mill video doesn't mean yours has to be that way. Show who you really are instead of trying to fit the mold of the "typical" network marketer. It doesn't just stop at video marketing either, when you're talking to someone over the phone or in person about your home based business you shouldn't be trying to pitch it like someone else. You should be talking to people the way you really talk to people. Got it? It doesn't take much to put your own unique stamp on everything you do for your business and I know that when you do you'll be wishing you had all along. People want to talk to you, not a robot who tries to act like everybody else. You really can succeed in a home based business just being who you are!
