How To Succeed In Network Marketing In 2009?

There are those that believe there is no difference in what it takes to be successful today from what it took to be successful ten years ago. Over 90% of everyone joining network marketing companies today fail and quit within the first 3 months of joining. This is proof that there is in fact a big difference.

What's sad is that those people then join another company and apply the same techniques they used before. And they get the same results (i.e. lack of results)... so they blame the industry, rather than their marketing techniques.

We live in a modern world where the Internet is connecting people from all over the world. MLM marketers must use modern internet marketing strategies to be successful. There are four basic principles that must be implemented in order to succeed in network marketing.

1. Proper Skills:

Developing yourself through proper training and education is vital to your success. You must learn how to effectively attract targeted prospects into your sales pipeline.

Most MLM marketers desire an income similar to a doctor or a dentist. And they expect to achieve that with little or no training.

Doctors and dentists have spent many years, sometimes more than a decade, getting trained and educated to advance their knowledge and skills. Set reasonable expectations for yourself... expect to spend some time in the beginning getting the proper training to succeed.

2. Target Marketing:

You need to attract potential prospects to you, rather than chasing prospects. Target and attract prospects that are interested in what you are selling. By targeting a specific market niche or segment, you will be more successful in attracting pre-qualified prospects.

This may seem counter-intuitive, but your results will actually be better when you target only a portion of the market rather than everyone in MLM network marketing. This is because you're better able to tailor your marketing messages to your specific niche. You are positioning yourself as a trusted advisor so you need to be able to articulate their problems and offer relevant solutions.

3. Continual Flow Of Prospects:

Having a continual flow of prospects into your sales pipeline is the holy grail of network marketing success. If you don't have prospects in your pipeline, then you don't have sales. Lack of sales is what kills most network marketing businesses.

The way to maintain a steady flow of prospects is to develop a marketing strategy and continually market yourself. There are many effective marketing tools and with the internet you can be marketing 24/7.

In the beginning use free marketing tools like social marketing. When you are generating steady income, you can consider paid marketing tools.

4.Action:

Taking action is extremely important, but taking effective action is even more important. Focus on income-producing activities. Don't get distracted with busy work like reading email.

Income-generating activities are your marketing activities like writing articles, blogging, and social marketing. Once you have attracted prospects, you must be sure to implement a good follow-up system using email autoresponders.

Your goal is develop a relationship with your prospects and establish yourself as a trusted advisor. Then your prospects are more likely to buy products that you recommend.
