She may be the familiar face for fans of the CW show One Tree Hill, but Kate Voegele who plays "Mia" on the hit television series isn't just acting when she sits next to the piano alongside the famous Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton). Though it may be a guilty pleasure for most viewers, so is Voegele's music. In between filming the latest season, Voegele is hitting the road in support of A Fine Mess, her sophomore set that has been earning airtime via the teen sitcom, so grab some Kate Voegele tickets online to enjoy her tracks live rather than via the "boob tube." Her debut, Don't Look Away, peaked in the Top Ten on iTunes Album Chart and Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart and Top Digital Albums chart, while the first single from her latest set, "Manhattan from the Sky," was put into the March 23rd episode. "They worked the song into the show so that it enhanced the scene, and in turn, the scene enhanced the song," Voegele said in a press release. "It was an amazing setup." The singer / songwriter who was hailed by a variety of music sources as the next big thing and "Artist to Watch in 2008" has kept up a hefty schedule of musical appearances, recording sessions in Los Angeles and filming in Wilmington, North Carolina, reprising her role that earned her such commercial recognition, this year. A Fine Mess, which is set to appear mid-May, was produced by Mike Elizondo of Rihanna, Maroon 5 and Pink fame and showcases the 22 year olds soulful deliverance; "no matter how a song develops, my main goal is to reach people, because there were so many musicians who spoke to me, and still do, to help me to deal with situations," she says on her website. "It's so easy nowadays with all the technology for people to fake it. For me, it's just so important that the true musical talent and passion for the songs be there." Growing up on a diet of Carole King, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and more alongside her musician father, Voegele began jotting down lyrics in between her algebra classes, eventually earning a spot opening for John Mayer and Counting Crows' 2003 tour, where she found her most contemporary influences. Now she sets about on her first headlining jaunt and plans on sweeping the nation by storm with her empowering lyrics and catchy beats.
