When the physical memory is not sufficient, the feat of the Linux memory will get vulnerable. Memories of different varieties are brought in use in different systems and it is expected from the user concerned to have some knowledge about the memory usage of the system he or she uses. The function of the Linux memory is very efficient when compared to Windows or Microsoft. The concert of the Linux Memory is thus more efficient in the cutting edge hardware. This has tempted many users to switch to the new version from the old version of Windows 98. The Linux memory desktop environments have been loaded with many features like increased power. This will work efficiently only when it is added to the new version and if it is added on the older version, the performance of the system will be relatively low. This is proved true in the various new applications and also the web browsers like office suites and fire fox. When this is placed to run on the systems with the capacity of around 128 MB RAM, a bitter experience can be obtained in it. An easy way can be following to get the solution for the above problem. To start with, the old hardware fitted in the computer has to be removed or else the same has to be upgraded. Or otherwise, a new memory can be purchased and installed. When a person decides to have the system with the Linux memory, he can rest assured for its good performance as the same is having a superior strength in the hardware field. The first thing that has to be taken into consideration is the operating system’s presentation and the memory capacity present in the system. Some of the systems may possess a very fast processor and the same cannot be performed to the fullest extent thus leading to the partial utilization of the processor. In some cases the CPU will not be functioning continuously and thus take rest and also waste the time in shuffling of data between the physical memory and the swap space. So it is better to increase the speed and the memory capacity of the system in turn to increase the overall performance of the old system. This may not be successful in all the systems because of the varied reasons. They are speed of the RAM, availability of free slots etc. It may not be worthy to spend the money on some systems which are considered as very old ones. When the old system doesn’t allow upgrading, the next option is to reduce the requirement of RAM to enable the system to work healthier. In toto, it is advisable to change the system itself if there is no room available for enhancement. Thus the end user of the system has to take the correct decision on the enhancement of the system or replacement of the system. Improper decision will ruin the system completely.
