Martina McBride's latest album, Shine, was released this week and already the four time Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year winner and all around country gal is getting some serious commercial acclaim. Just take this week's American Idol, which so happened to be Country Week, as two of the 11 performers covered McBride's classic singles, "Wild Angels" and "Independence Day." Now, Martina McBride tickets are making their rounds online as she hits the road this summer and fall on her latest run, "Waking Up Laughing Tour." Her tenth studio album fits well in McBride's large repertoire, as it showcases her sweeping vocals set to a contemporary appeal. A veteran live performer, working as a keyboardist in her father's band as a teen, McBride never puts too much pressure on herself during her jaunts. "I try not to play too much new material because I feel like it can get boring if people don't know the music. But on this new album, I think I'll probably play more of these songs. One difference on this album is that I think you respond to the songs immediately. Some of the other stuff I've done takes a little while to grow on you. My dad said that to me. So maybe he's right. But I think that these songs are more instantly likeable, so I think that they'll play better on stage," she said to CMT.com. Whether you plan on waiting to enjoy her tunes or not, McBride is making the rounds this season with tour shows, listed below.
