Radiohead Tickets - Humility is a Simple Rock Star Quality

By: Brent Warnken

As of recent, Radiohead hasn't made any more R&B/pop fans, but it's not like they really need to. According to an event surrounding the Grammy Awards, both Miley Cyrus and Kanye West were "snubbed" by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke after they both requested an introduction while the musicians all performed during the February event. The event was amplified, no surprise, by the sixteen year old country star who initially burst in passion during radio interviews prior to the anticipation of performing with said rock group, to only days later when she vented about the rejected invitation to meet the Hannah Montana star. "I left 'cause I was so upset. I wasn't going to watch. Stinkin' Radiohead! I'm gonna ruin them, I'm going to tell everyone," she said during an interview with Phoenix based Johnjay and Rich morning show March 3.

The maturing rock group subsequently responded (via their publicist) with "When Miley grows up, she'll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement," which has equally garnered as much press time. On the other spectrum, R&B sensation West was similarly snubbed at the event, though he has yet to openly bash the musicians in such a way, instead taking his efforts out in a recent VH1 Storytellers recording, which failed to make the cutting board. Of per the events during that specific said, West only stated, according to Reuters, "So when he performed at the Grammys, I sat the f*** down."

Radiohead's recent stint with the pop / R&B drama isn't putting them in a sour mood, but Radiohead tickets are sure seeing a change of pace, as the guys five minutes with fame, or rather fame with E! Online, is making an impact onnline. Just in time, too, as the guys are embracing their latest set with a Central and South America tour, bringing along Kraftwerk for the ride through Mexico City, Basil, Argentina, Chile and more. Giving daily updates via their webpage, Yorke responded just days after the public (self) humiliation done by Cyrus and West with the quite note, "Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you're not one of those people I have managed to offend by doing nothing xx" - a bitter yet appropriate response from the rock musician who, with a tour on his hands, likely doesn't have time for petty games.

It isn't just the tour that the guys of Radiohead are getting their hands into, as their first Collector's Editions are set for release within the next week, releasing their first three studio albums - 1993's Pablo Honey, 1995's The Bends, and 1997's Ok Computer - which will include a second CD of rarities filled with demos, sessions and live recordings. Pablo Honey will include a 1992 BBC Radio One session and a DVD with four music videos, including 1993's "Top of the Pops" television performance; The Bends includes a 1994 BBC Radio One session, five music videos via a DVD and several more television performances from their concerts in London Astoria; and Ok Computer features 1997's BBC Radio One session, three music videos and a television performance.
