As we currently all know we are in the midst of one of the worst economic downturns for a long time, one of the worst suffering industries has to be the automobile sector. Cars are just not selling how they used to and that could be because of a few factors, one of the most important is because they are so expensive. That is up until now though, the new Tato Nano has caused a huge amount of media attention after its initial launch in India, and now the UK and USA are being inundated with requests for the small vehicle. The cars will become the lowest selling vehicle around being priced at an impressive $2000. The car will be essential for commuters that travel through cities on a daily basis. But what is surprising is that the Nano's are not actually made to be in competition with cars, but rather with scooters instead. Scooters are everywhere in India and most cities throughout the world, so what the Tata Nano is doing is it is giving people a safer and warmer environment to commute in, as well as being able to hold around 4 people in it. I definitely feel that this is exactly what needs to happen in the car industry. Cars are far too expensive these days and are not worth the hassle. Buying a decent used car from the garage is going to probably cost you around three thousand pounds, plus when you buy a used car it is very un doubtful on what the engine is really like, so you could in fact end up paying around double of what you actually purchased it for in repairs. So cars like the Tata Nano are an absolute must in a suffering industry, people will now actually be able to afford to buy new cars rather than purchased used ones. We have seen budget flights, budget hotels so let's now have a look at getting budget cars in place, something that is really useful to the world and something that will ideally help out families that have previously been unable to afford a new car. This is an absolute positive move for the car industry and possibly may start a trend in budget products. For example look at the housing market I mean how impossible is it for young generations to buy a house? Why not start building small budget houses with less expensive materials?
