The Revivals of Old Seen in 2009 Hairstyles

By: Phoenix Delray

The most common problem with 2009 hairstyles is that people do not choose the right looks that will complement their faces well. People will see a style that someone else has, most commonly a celebrity, and they will get the same cut in hopes that they will look just as good as the person they saw does. 2009 hairstyles are all about anything goes as long as the look that you choose does truly look good on you.

For long hair or short, one look that has been popular for the last several years that continues to be good for this year is the choppy, layered look. The style is feminine, simple, and looks very healthy when it is taken care of. Another cut that has demonstrated decades of staying power is the bob cut. Celebrities left and right over several years have donned this look, and it is designed for and works best with hair that is straight. The bangs of the face usually are cut quite blunt and straight so that they fall just above the eyebrows. For those with no bangs or longer bangs, sweeping them to the side and tucking them behind one ear is a popular variation of the bob.

Longer bobs that have the bangs swept to the side are good looks for those with round faces, and can be used on long hair and medium length hair. Other popular 2009 hairstyles include different looks for bangs, including side swept bangs, fringed bangs, curved bangs, straight cut bangs, and angled bangs. Even though blond highlights have been very popular in years past, different colored chunks and more natural highlights are taking over this year, especially when natural undertones are used in the looks.

This year it seems that the more natural a look is, the more in it will be for 2009. Fads come and go, but when a hair cut is truly a good fit for someones face, it will never go out of style. Fads are what people come up with that are popular but dont necessarily look right for their faces. Fads happen because someone somewhere tried something new, and it looked so good on them that many people begin to copy that same hairstyle, regardless of how it looks for their face. Only a few people can really pull off these fad looks, and it is only a matter of time before fads fade, so if one comes along that you honestly know is not flattering for your face type, it is best to stick with what looks good for you and just wait until the fad passes. There are many 2009 hairstyles that will be popular, so be sure to pick one that is good for your face.
