Trace Adkins Tickets - Leading Act at the CMA Music Festival

By: Brent Warnken

Music City's honky tonk dweller Trace Adkins is making moves to dominate this summer's country music scene in Nashville, and the traditional country crooner is leading the pack of Nashville stars set to appear at perhaps the summer's biggest event of all: the CMA Music Festival. Adkins was recently announced as one of the first acts to secure his place onstage for the four-day music gala, and the five-time CMA Award nominee is set to storm the main stage at LP Field during a night of sheer country music bliss.

Trace Adkins was among the first names to be announced as performers at the 2009 CMA Music Festival, and other CMA Award winners and nominees such as Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum have already been confirmed, as well, as is vocalist/Dancing with the Stars performer Julianne Hough. The 38th annual CMA Music Festival will take place June 11-14, 2009 at downtown Nashville's LP Field, and tickets to see these country music stars shine brightly in concert are going quick but are still available from the finest place to buy tickets on the web. This year, the CMA Music Festival's proceeds will go in part to benefit music education in Nashville, and the event will partner with the Nashville Alliance for Public Education in donating money to education programs around the community in the Metro Nashville Public Schools with the program "Keep the Music Playing."

While Trace Adkins is now used to playing his boot-stompin' music for sold-out crowds of cowboy hat-wearing fans, this incredible musician wasn't simply born into the Nashville industry. A native of Louisiana, Adkins grew up on a steady diet of traditional country tunes, picking up the guitar at an early age. After studying music at Louisiana Tech, Adkins took a job on the oil rigs but severed his finger in an accident, returning to music sometime thereafter in the form of the gospel quartet (aptly-named) the New Commitments. After breaking away from the group, Adkins used his booming baritone voice to garner local fame, jamming in honky tonks and nightclubs until finally moving to Nashville, where he was quickly scooped up by Capitol Records.

Adkins' debut album Dreamin' Out Loud debuted in 1996 and featured the country classics "Every Light in the House," "I Left Something Turned on at Home" and "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing," and the rising star burst into the spotlight from there. Trace Adkins became the staple country rebel in the following years and has since been tearing up the charts with Top 10 singles such as "I'm Tryin'," "Chrome," "Then They Do," "Songs About me," "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," "Ladies Love Country Boys" and "You're Gonna Miss This."

Adkins has also scored big with number one-charting albums like Greatest Hits Collection, Vol. 1 and Songs About Me, and this Nashville star continues to record and release big hits in the meantime, most recently releasing 2008's X, a Top 10 album that has fans waiting at the edge of their seats for more. While X is Adkins' latest release to date, the country music sensation continues wowing fans with Trace Adkins tickets to one of his several live performances.
