More and more restaurants and other businesses around the world are beginning to decorate their establishments with old time relics and Hollywood memorabilia, including autographed celebrity photos. This trend has been on the rise for the last decade. There is no doubt that you have been to an establishment that has decorated their walls with old painting, photos, even general farm or sports equipment. In fact, many of these locations have walls that are cluttered from top to bottom with such items. Once reason why many restaurants have done this is for the simplest reason of all: to give their patrons something to look at. Many restaurants have found that their patrons simply stare blankly at their plain walls or their six to eight paintings that they have on their walls. Therefore, a few designers had the idea of making the restaurant experience not only about feeding the stomach, but also feeding the other senses, including the visual stimulus. Restaurants have reported that since they have switched over to such decor that their patrons seem happier and more alert when sitting at their tables. They also have reported that patrons will return and request specific seating areas that feature decor that matches their personalities. Many restaurants will even name their seating areas after the specific decor. Such as calling one section the "sports area" due to all the sports memorabilia, or the "Hollywood area" for the area that contains movie memorabilia. A good number of restaurants have started to hang autographed celebrity photos on their walls not only for the general look and atmosphere that have come with restaurants decorated in this manner. Another reason why restaurants have started to hang autographed celebrity photos on their walls is to create a sense of history. Many of restaurants only place autographed photos of celebrities who have actually visited their establishment. This works as a means to allow the restaurant in a non official manner to state: this celebrity endorses our restaurant. They don't have to pay the celebrity to say this, the photo speaks for itself in establishments that only post photos of celebrity's who have dined there. Many chain restaurants have also used celebrity photos as part of their decor to give their patrons something to talk about when they run out of general conversation with one another. Patrons will look at the celebrity and it will spark conversation amongst themselves about films that the celebrity appeared in, or about events or things that the celebrity has done with their life. Using these photos as a conversation starter that gives their patrons something to talk about when all other conversation ceases is sure to keep the patron coming back. They will remember the good conversation that they had while in the restaurant. This will make them want to return time and time again. These are just a few of the reasons why so many so many restaurants are adding autographed celebrity photos to their every day decor. They are finding that using such images is very beneficial for their business.
